USERLIST: v2.00 by Stephen de Plater
June 29, 1990 GT Power Net: 302/1
Changed the banned indicator from a
rather bland '*' in front of the name to
something less subtle! Also recompiled
under Turbo C 2.0.
1.15 November 23, 1988 Added the "silent" ban feature. If you
don't want banned users shown at all,
add "*" to your /B parameter.
2.00 June 29, 1990 Finally! The GT15.xx release. This is
a total rewrite. The features are
somewhat different and the command line
parameters have changed totally. The
program has also been moved to Turbo
C++.

1. COPYRIGHT
======================================================================
USERLIST is not placed in the Public Domain. The copyright is retained
and the software is provided on licence:
You are free to use and make as many copies of this program as you
wish. You may also give it away to anyone who wants it, provided:
1. No fee is charged.
2. This archive is distributed intact.
3. You register the package with an OZNET registration centre.
======================================================================
2. REGISTRATION
======================================================================
A new registration scheme now applies to all OZNET software.
Regardless of any previous registration, this program now requires
individual installation for each BBS using it.
There is still NO fee involved at all. DO NOT send any money!
Registration simply involves obtaining from me a CRC code which
matches your BBS name. You may do this at any of the seven OZNET
registration centres:

If you are in the GTPN nodelist then you will be able to register
direct online at any of those centres or via mail in the correct form
to OZRobot at any of those centres. See the included OZRobot document
for details. If you are not in the GTPN net you will need to apply
via private netmail or message to Sysop at any of the centres.
Whatever way you do it you will need to supply the full (case
sensitive) name to which you want the program registered.
You will also need to obtain the OZINSTAL program which performs the
actual installation. OZINSTAL is not included in this archive. You
should look for OZINST11.ZIP.

3. PURPOSE
======================================================================
(Or what does this thing do anyway?)
USERLIST is a door program for GT Power BBS Systems. It provides a
list of users on your system based on one of four selection options:
1. All users,
2. Users on the system since a specified day,
3. Users on the system in the last nn days, or
3. Users whose names match a (partial) name supplied.
When asked for a name to match, the partial name you enter is not case
sensitive. And the string which you enter will be searched for in both
first and last names. i.e. "de" will match "Stephen Deplater" "John
Della-torre" but not "Ken Thompson".

4. USAGE
======================================================================
To use USERLIST simply install it as a door much like this:
@echo off
c:
cd \gtbbs
setdoor ON %1 %2
gtdrwy
doorway SYS /N: /S:c\gtbbs /B:MS /O:T
/P:c:\gtbbs\userlist.exe
setdoor OFF %1 %2
For the user, all that is necessary is to open the door and pick the
options.
The parameters are all optional and function as follows:
1. /Hx Hide high level users. Lists only users whose access level
is lower than the level given.
For example: to hide users at or above level "A", use /HA.
Useful, perhaps, if you have some high level users you want
to hide from the great multitudes who use your board.
2. /M Force monochrome. Even if the user has selected ANSI
graphics, turn the colors off!
3. /P Disable Pause. When this parameter is set the output will
run continuously with no "more" prompts. Without it the
program will pause at each screenful (see parameter /C
below) and wait for a keystroke.
4. /Cnn Set linecount for screen size. The default is 23 lines.
There must be no spaces between the /C and the number. For
instance, to set a screen length of 15 lines, use the
parameter /C15.
5. /Dnn Set the default number of days in the date scan. When the
USERLIST main menu option "D"date or "L"ast nn days commands
are chosen, the program will scan for users either online
since a specified date, or online in the last nn days. This

value controls how far back the scan defaults to. The user
can of course change the number (in either mode). In both
modes the program will display the default and ask the user
to either accept it or enter a different value.
The default for this parameter is 30 days in both modes.
The command line options must be separated by white space, (i.e.:
"/P/Hx" is not valid, but "/P /Hx" is). They may be in either upper or
lower case, and supplied in any order. Also, you may use the '-'
character as the command line parameter flag instead of '/'.
(i.e.: "-P" is fine.)
Users will be returned to this menu after each userlist is displayed.

5. COLORS
======================================================================
USERLIST uses the colours you have selected for GT. If you don't like
them, don't blame me -- you chose them <grin>!
======================================================================
6. DISCLAIMER
======================================================================
Q: What kind of guarantee comes with this software?
A: *** ABSOLUTELY NONE!!! ***
If you break it you get to keep both halves.
I take no responsibility at all for what this software may do on any
computer other than my own. If you use it you do so at your own risk.
All that I am prepared to say about it is that it works fine here (and
I can see no good reason why it should not also work fine everywhere
else also -- but ....)
By using this program you accept these conditions.
